Easter is almost here, which means you are probably looking for some Easter-themed activities for your kiddos. As a parent of a preschooler at home, I have been searching for fun ways to incorporate the holiday into my lesson plans. Since she has started reading, I wanted to make some CVC Easter egg puzzles for her to practice with.
These Easter egg puzzles have very little prep work and are a great way for kids to practice their reading. Kids will read the words and match the correct picture.

Supplies For CVC Easter Eggs
- Printer
- Printer Paper
- CVC Easter Egg Printable
- Scissors
- Laminator
- Laminating Pouches
Directions
First, download the printable CVC Easter eggs at the bottom of this page. Then, print them out onto regular printer paper.

Next, place the printable into laminating pouches like this and run them through a laminator.

After all the pages are laminated, cut out the egg halves. After you have cut out all of the eggs, you are ready to use this printable with your child(ren).

How To Use These CVC Easter Eggs
To start, place all of the Easter egg halves that have CVC words on them in one pile and all the picture eggs on another. Have your child pick a CVC word and sound it out.

Then, they will look at the pictures and match the correct one to the CVC word. Have them see how many CVC words and pictures they can match up.
