Why Do A Christmas Wish List
A Christmas wish list is a fun holiday activity for kids. They get to sit down and go through magazines of all the latest, coolest toys and gadgets and decide what items they’d really like for Christmas.
Not only is it fun for kids, but it is also SUPER helpful for parents. It gives us ideas of what to get our kids, as well as, ideas to pass along to relatives who may ask.
This is why I created some adorable My Christmas Wish List Templates for our kids to fill out this holiday season.
Every family does Christmas gifts a little differently, so I’ve created nine different templates so you can choose one that works for your family.
Once you have decided which printable Christmas wish list to use, simply download and print off a copy for each of your children. Then, have your children sit down and brainstorm ideas of things they may need or want. It may be helpful to let them go through store flyers for ideas.
My kids always love going through the Amazon catalog that comes in the mail for gift inspiration. They usually circle the items they like (usually all of them) and then go back through and narrow their choices down.
If you don’t get the Amazon toy catalog in the mail, you can always find it online or you can use another store such as Walmart or Target.
When To Start the Christmas Wish List
I always recommend starting early rather than later. If your child is like mine and changes their mind a million times before Christmas then have them start their my Christmas wish list early and then hang it on the refrigerator.
Then, your child can add or edit their list if more things come to mind. However, I would set a date that they need to finalize their list so that relatives have time to shop.
Once their list is complete snap a picture of their list and when relatives text you for gift ideas you can send them your child’s adorable my Christmas wish list.
Christmas Wish List Template #1
What I love about this Christmas list is that it has a spot for your child to put some experiences they’d like as gifts. Do they want to take a coding or painting class? Do they want a zoo membership so they can go to the zoo more often? It could just be as simple as tickets to the movie theater.
This printable also has a spot for them to fill in some of their favorites such as color, store, sports team, and more. This is helpful for relatives who may not know some of these items but are looking for this information when gift shopping.
Christmas Wish List Printable #2
This printable Christmas list has ten spots for items. If your kids are like mine and circle nearly every item in the Amazon catalog then this Christmas wish list template is great for them. Because there is only ten lines it forces them to narrow down their top needs and wants.
