Are you looking for Halloween scavenger hunt clues to make an awesome treasure hunt for your kids? These are the best clue cards for an epic Halloween hunt.
My kids have so much fun doing treasure hunts. In the past, I’ve created treasure hunts for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Christmas as fun holiday activities for them. After each one, they asked me to make another because they enjoyed solving and following clues that led to a special prize.
With Halloween quickly approaching, I decided to create and share with you a Halloween scavenger hunt.
These scavenger hunt clues are fairly easy so even the youngest kids can play. Each clue leads to an indoor item found in most households such as a stove, hamper, toaster, and more!
This Halloween treasure hunt is sure to be a fun way for your kids to get in the spooky, Halloween spirit.
This post is all about a Halloween scavenger hunt.

Directions
First, download and print the free Halloween treasure hunt clues at the bottom of the page. Then, cut out each clue.
It can be helpful to number the clues on the back as you cut them out. The order they go in is top left, top right, then down continuing to go left to right. The reason numbering is important is because there is a clue dependent upon the order.
For example, the 3rd clue says “Knock, knock, I hear someone at the door. Is it trick-or-treaters or maybe clue number 4?”
Putting the number on the clue also helps your kids ensure they have found the correct card because some of the clues may be in the same room.
After you have numbered the clues, set aside the first one. The first clue will not be hidden, rather you give this to your kids to start their Halloween treasure hunt.
Scavenger Hunt Setup
When you go to hide the clues, start with the second clue. This clue will be hidden in the riddle’s location of the first clue (your child’s sock drawer).
Before placing the second clue in your child’s sock drawer make sure to read it so you know where to put the third clue because the clues you hide will go to the location of the previous clue.
You keep doing this pattern until you get to the last clue. For example, the third clue will go to the location from the second clue, the fourth clue will go to the location from the third clue, etc.
The last card says “You solved my spooky clues now it’s time for your prize. Go look in your bed for your Halloween surprise!” You would then place your child’s Halloween prize in their bed either under their blankets or pillow.
Your child’s bed makes a great last location because if you have multiple children they can do the Halloween treasure hunt together but then they each can get their own prize.
When you go to hide the Halloween scavenger hunt clues it may be helpful to pull this post up. That way, you can see the order of the clues I’ve listed out below.
