Printer
Cardstock or Printer Paper
Scissors
Finger Paint
Paper plate
*Optional 8×10 Frame

Directions

At the bottom of the post you will find the free printable Mother’s Day handprint craft. Once you download the file you will find that there are five different handprint craft templates to choose from.

Decide which template you’d like to use and then print it off using cardstock like this. If you don’t have any cardstock, you can also use printer paper, it just won’t be as sturdy.

Next, cut around the border of the Mother’s Day printable. The border is 8×10, so if you would like to frame it, you have the option.

Now, you’ll need some washable finger paint like these Crayola bottles. Have your child choose what color(s) they’d like to make their handprint flower in. Then, squeeze some of that color onto a paper plate.

If you don’t have any paper plates, you can also just lay out some parchment paper or tin foil and then squeeze the washable finger paint on that.

Next, have your child dip their hand into the paint, making sure to get the entire palm and fingers completely coated in paint.

Then, have them make a handprint onto the stem of the flower on the printable. When they have finished, wash their hands and let the Mother’s Day handprint craft dry.

Once the handprint art is dried, you can either frame it or leave it as it is. Then, have your child gift it to their mom on Mother’s Day! It’ll surely be loved.
