These adorable monster Valentine cards are perfect for your child’s classroom Valentine exchange!

Monster Valentine

I cannot believe how fast the new year is approaching. It won’t be long before Valentine’s Day is here! If you have young kids, like myself, then they are probably very excited for their upcoming classroom Valentine exchange.

In years past, I have created a few different DIY Valentine cards for my kids to bring to their classmates. Last year, these tic-tac-toe Valentines were a HUGE hit. This year, I decided to create some monster Valentine cards. Seriously, these monster cards are so adorable, and the best part is that all you need to make them is a printer, cardstock, and scissors!

If you are tired of the same old store-bought Valentine’s cards or have completely forgotten to pick up cards and need some immediately, then this post is for you.

This post is all about monster Valentine cards.

Step 1 – Gather Supplies For Monster Valentine Cards

  • White Cardstock
  • Monster Valentine’s Day Printable
  • Paper Trimmer or Scissors
  • Writing Utenisil
  • Optional – Monster Toy or Treat

Step 2 – Print off the Valentine Cards

First, determine how many kids are in your child’s class. There are 4 monster valentine cards to a page.

  • Sending Monster Hugs To You!
  • You’re A Monstorific Friend!
  • You’re Monstrously Cool!
  • I’ve Got My Eyes On You Valentine!

Divide the number of kids in the class by 4, and that is how many pages you’ll need to print. Next, load the required amount of cardstock into your printer and print the Monster Valentine cards.

Step 3 – Cut out the Valentine and Write Who They’re From

After you’ve printed off your Monster Valentine cards, you will need to cut them using a paper trimmer like this or scissors. Then, have your child write their name on the “from” line for each of the Valentine Cards.

Step 4 is Optional – Attach a Piece of Candy or Toy

This step is totally optional, but you can attach a fun toy or candy to the Valentine. There are so many fun options for this, like these adorable bendy monsters, reusable monster straws, Monsters Inc Lollipop Rings, or Googly eye finger puppets.
