Christmas is just around the corner, and if you are anything like me, you are searching for fun holiday games and activities to do with your kids.
In the past, I’ve created fun Christmas games like Christmas Would You Rather, Christmas Bingo, and even Christmas Charades to play as a family. This year, I thought it would be fun to make a printable Christmas word scramble that my kids can do over the holidays.
On this printable Christmas word scramble, you must unscramble each holiday word to find the answer to the holiday joke.

Printable Christmas Word Scramble

Directions
All you need to do to play this word puzzle is to print off a copy of the printable Christmas word scramble and grab a writing utensil.
Then, try to unscramble the letters to figure out what the holiday word is. Once you have figured out the holiday word, spell it in the boxes. Then, transfer the ornament letter to the bottom of the page.
Below you can see an example of how to do this word puzzle. The letters “CEBREMDE” do not spell a word but the letters can be rearranged to spell the holiday word “December.”
After figuring that out, you would write December in the boxes. In this example, you would then bring the letter “C” down to the bottom and put it in the corresponding ornament spot to help solve the answer to the joke.
Once you have unscrambled all of the words, you will be able to read the answer to the Christmas joke at the bottom of the puzzle.
When to play ?
This word puzzle can be done pretty much anywhere, either by yourself or with a group. You can do these at home, a Christmas party, in the classroom, or even in the car (it’s a perfect road trip activity if you travel over the holidays).
Easy Christmas Word Scramble
Need a quiet activity your kids can do while you take care of that last-minute Christmas wrapping? Pull out this printable Christmas word scramble and see if your kids can unscramble all the Christmas words to find the answer to the holiday joke.
You could also print off a bunch of copies and lay them out at the kids’ table at your family gathering. This will give the kids something to do while they wait to eat or open presents.
If you are a teacher, this Christmas word scramble can be a fun holiday activity for the classroom.
If the kids find this puzzle too easy, give them the harder Christmas word scramble to solve afterward.
