Supplies
- Printer
- 8.5 x 11 Printer Paper
- Dry Erase Pocket Sleeves or Laminator/Laminating Sheets
- Vis-a-vis Markers or Dry Erase Markers
- Clipboard (optional)
Directions
You’ll first need to choose which 4th of July scavenger hunt you want to use. There is a written list one that just has the items listed out. There is a picture version for the younger kids who may not be able to read yet. I also have a blank hunt for you to write in items of your choosing.
Once you’ve decided on a scavenger hunt, print it off using regular 8.5×11 printer paper. If you are bringing it along to a 4th of July party you’ll want to print off enough copies for all the kids attending. If there are going to be a mix of ages it can be helpful to have both the picture version and list version.
Once you’ve printed off your copies of the scavenger hunt you might want to protect the printable by either laminating or using dry erase pocket sleeves like these.
To laminate, just place the printable in a laminating pouch like this and let it slide through the laminator. Follow this step for each of the printable scavenger hunts you have.
Dry Erase Pocket Sleeves
Laminating Sleeves
Now, bring them along to your 4th of July celebration. Make sure to bring a writing utensil for each of the kiddos. For the dry erase pocket sleeves you’ll need dry erase markers like these. If you laminated the scavenger hunt you’ll need to use a vis-vis marker. Then, you can wipe them clean when they are finished and reuse in the future.
It can also be helpful, but totally not necessary, if they have clipboards to write against.
