The weather is starting to change, which means it won’t be long before Halloween is here! One of my family’s favorite things to do around the holidays is play different games.
If you’ve been to my page before, you may have seen some of my other Halloween games such as my Halloween Scattergories game, my Halloween bingo, or my Halloween Left Right Game, to name a few.
This year I decided to add another Halloween party game to the collection. This is one that both kids and adults can enjoy. This Halloween Family Feud game is sure to bring tons of fun to your Halloween party.

- Printer
- Printer Paper
- Cardstock
- Host Question Cards (free printable)
- Player View Cards (free printable)
- 3 Red X’s (free printable)
- Cover Cards for Each Player View Card (free printable)
- Score Card (free printable)
- Hook and Loop Dots
- Scissors
- Writing Utensil For Keeping Score
- Buzzer or object to grab when facing off
- Laminator (optional)
- Laminating Sheets (optional)
Setup
In the Halloween Family Feud printable, you will find the Host Question cards. Download this printable and print the host question cards on cardstock like this.
Next, cut out each host card.
*Using cardstock is very important so that players cannot see the answers through the cards. If you do not have cardstock, you could also tape the cards onto construction paper.
Next, print the cover cards, three red x’s, the score card, and 24 player-view cards.
The first page of the printable is the cover card. You will need one copy of this page for every player view card you use. These will need to be printed on cardstock as well so that you cannot see the answers through.
The next page of the printable are the three red x’s or strikes. This can be printed on regular printer paper. The third page is the score card. Again, this one can also be printed on regular printer paper.
The next 24 pages are different Halloween family feud player cards. These have different questions along with the answers and points. Print these off with regular printer paper. You can go through and choose the ones you want to use or print them all so you can play more than one game.
After you have printed all the items you need, you will need to laminate the player view cards and cover cards. It is optional if you want to laminate the red x’s/strikes.
To laminate, simply place each page into a laminating sheet like this and run it through a laminator.
After everything has been laminated cut out the cover cards.
Next, for each player view card, you will need to place a hook dot like this on the side of the question at the top. You will also need to put a hook dot on each of the numbers below.
Then, connect a loop dot to the top with the sticky side up.
Next, line up the cover card on top.
Then press down so the loop dot sticks to the cover card.
This allows you to remove the cover card when a team guesses one of the correct answers.
Repeat this process for all of the player viewing cards.
How to Play Halloween Family Feud
To play this game, make two teams of five players (or less). Have each team form a line.
To start each round, one player from each team will face off. Between them, place a buzzer or an object they have to grab such as a banana or water bottle.
Then, the host will read a question, and the first player to buzz in or grab the middle object gets the first chance to guess the number one answer to the question.
If the first player to buzz doesn’t get the top answer in the face-off, the other person gets a chance to answer and get the top answer. Whoever’s answer is higher gets to choose whether their team wants to play or pass.
Choosing to play means their team continues to provide answers (going down the line), attempting to get all of the answers before getting three incorrect answers/strikes.
Choosing to pass means the opposing team has to guess all of the correct answers before getting three strikes/incorrect answers.
If a team guesses all of the correct answers before getting three strikes, their team collects all of the points for that round. However, if a team gets three strikes, then the other team gets a chance to steal the points by giving a correct answer.
If the opposing team does not get a correct answer then the points that are shown will be given to the team who answered for that round.
Play five rounds so that each player gets a chance to do a faceoff. After five rounds, whichever team has the most points wins the game!
