If you’re looking for Father’s Day coupons, look no further! This DIY coupon book is the perfect Father’s Day gift he is sure to love.

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and if you are anything like me, then you are probably searching for gift ideas that your kids can give their Dad.
Last year, I made this adorable keepsake Father’s Day questionnaire printable where kids could answer both funny and meaningful questions about their Dad to put a smile on his face. This year, I wanted to make something just as meaningful, which is why I created these Father’s Day coupons.
These coupons range from full control of the remote for a day and an uninterrupted nap to a chore-free day and more!
Not only will Dad love these Father’s Day coupons but the kids will have so much fun picking out which ones to include in the coupon book and maybe even coming up with their own (there’s blank ones for that).
This post is all about Father’s Day Coupons.

Directions
The first thing you’ll want to do is decide which type of coupon book you’d like to make (I have two different styles of Father’s Day coupons).
I also have blank coupons that you and your kids can come up with your own and fill in.
After you’ve chosen your design, download and print off the printable. When printing, you’ll want to use cardstock like this to make the coupons more sturdy.

Then, cut out each coupon. With your child(ren), go through the coupons and decide which ones you would like to use and take out the ones you don’t want.

If you would rather, you can use the blank Father’s Day coupons and have your kids come up with their own Father’s Day coupon ideas.
If you have multiple children, have them each come up with a few that will be from them. Make sure to have them sign their coupons so he knows who to redeem the coupon with.

Once you have all the coupons cut out, arrange them in your desired order. Then, stack them on top of each other facing the correct direction.
If you are making the large coupon book then place the “Dad’s Coupon Book” on top and the blank patterned one on the bottom of the stack but facing outward.
If you are making the smaller coupon book set the cover off to the side and just stack the coupons.
Next, level them out by tapping them on the table. You want to make sure the end with the colored strip is level.

Once they are level, you may find it helpful to put binding clips on the sides to hold the coupons together.
Binding Clips
Using a paintbrush, put a layer of Mod Podge along the binding.

If it happens to go over the edge, just wipe it off with a paper towel. After you have covered the entire surface, let it dry for 20-30 minutes.

Then, apply 1-2 more coats of Mod Podge letting it dry for 20-30 minutes in between each coat.
If you are doing the large coupon book, then it is finished and ready to gift. If you are making the small coupon book you still need to make the cover.
To do so first lay the cover flat on the table with the colored strip on the left and the “Dad’s Coupon Book” on the right.
Then, fold back the blue strip on the left side of the cover.

After you have done this, you are going to fold over the front cover, bringing it halfway into the blue strip. Once you have it lined up, press it down.

Remove the binding clips after your 2-3 coats of Mod Podge have dried. Next, put a thin layer of Mod Podge again on the binding however, this time, also apply it on the blue strip of the first coupon making sure to stay above where it says “Coupon Never Expires.”

Then, place these Father’s Day coupons inside of the cover sleeve and press it down. You can use a clip to hold it in place while it dries but don’t leave them on too long so they don’t leave indentations.
Once the Mod Podge has dried, you are ready to gift your Father’s Day coupon book.
Other Coupon Book Options
If you do not have Mod Podge, you could also bind the Father’s Day coupons with ribbon or a stapler.
Before binding with a stapler or ribbon, I recommend folding the coupons along the colored edge back and forth a few times. This will allow the coupon to tear out much easier when Dad goes to use them.
Another note, if you plan to use a stapler, you will need to use fewer coupons or just print on regular printer paper (instead of cardstock) in order for the stapler to go through them all.

To tie the coupons with ribbon, use a hole punch and make 2 holes in each of the coupons as well as the front and back cover. Then, you can tie a ribbon through the holes to secure them.
