New Years Charades Setup

To play New Years charades you will need to first print out the free printable charades cards at the bottom of this post. You can also just write out all of the New Years charades words if you prefer.

Once you have printed or written out the words, then cut out each New Year’s themed word. Lastly, fold each word in half and place them in a bowl or hat.

Now you are all set and ready to play New Years charades.

How To Play New Years Charades Game

There are a few different ways to play charades. You can either play as a group or turn it into a friendly competition and split up into teams.

If you plan to play this at a New Year’s Eve party, I recommend playing it as a group rather than teams. This way people can enter and exit the game whenever they please.

To start the game choose one player to begin. This player will draw a New Year’s charades card out of the bowl or hat.

Then, they begin acting out their card without using any sounds. The rest of the group tries to guess what the card says. Whoever correctly guesses the card gets to draw and act the next one. Keep playing for as long as the party guests want or until all the cards are used up.

If you use up all of the cards and want to keep playing, print off the blank New Year’s charades and have each person come up with a few New Year’s charades ideas and write them on the blank cards.

Then, put all of the new cards in a bowl and continue playing.
