If you are looking for an Independence Day game, look no further! This 4th of July dice game is the perfect game to play with family and friends this summer.

Summer is almost here which means pool days, picnics, backyard BBQs, and Independence Day celebrations.
If you’re anything like me, then you are probably searching for fun things to do with your kids this 4th of July! In the past, I’ve made Independence Day activities like a 4th of July scavenger hunt, 4th of July bingo, and 4th of July charades.
This year, I decided to make a 4th of July dice game after our kids had SO much fun playing this Easter dice game. This candy dice game is such an easy-to-play game that can be played with any number of participants!
This post will walk you through everything you need to know to play this 4th of July dice game. Also, at the bottom of the post, you will find your free printable game sheet!

How to Setup & Play Fourth of July Candy Dice Game
Put a large pile of red, white and blue candy in the center of the table. Next, determine how long the candy dice game will go for.
Either set a timer or play until someone has X amount of candy (eg. 10 pieces).
To start the game, have each player pick three pieces of candy from the middle pile. Then roll the die to determine who will get to go first.
The player that goes first will roll the die and do the corresponding action (from the 4th of July dice game printable).
For example, if they roll a four, then they would get to take two pieces of candy from the middle.
If they were to roll a five, then they would get to swap one piece of their candy with any other piece of candy from another player.
After their turn is completed, the game continues clockwise until there is a winner or the timer goes off. When the game ends, everyone gets to keep the candy that they have in front of them!

Fourth of July Dice Game – Non Candy
I also created a more generic dice game printable that does not say candy so you could play this game with other red, white, and blue prize items. If you play this way, you could have everyone start the game with only one item and the first person to five items wins!
To make the game a little competitive you could try adding one or two “bigger” prizes into the mix such as a red or blue Amazon gift card, red Hydroflask water bottle or a blue yeti travel mug.
