Harry Potter Food – Main Dish
1. Slytherin Snake Subs
My daughter’s favorite food is subs, so to incorporate them into the Harry Potter theme we decided to make Slytherin snake subs as the main course. They were SO simple and easy to make.
We picked up loaves of French bread and then sliced them in half. On the subs, we used turkey and ham lunch meat.
We also added some sliced cheese and lettuce and then cut them into individual-sized sandwiches. Next, we laid out some parchment paper on the counter and then shaped the subs into a snake.
On the first sandwich (end of the loaf) we cut a fruit roll up to look like a tongue and put olives for eyes. Next to the subs we set out toppings for the party guests to put on their sandwiches.
The toppings we used were mayonnaise (I recommend getting a squeezable bottle), cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, and pickles.
These Slytherin snake subs were a hit and made a great Harry Potter party food choice.
2. Neville’s Nachos
A nacho bar is another great Harry Potter party food idea. Set out some cooked taco meat in a crock pot and tortilla chips.
