Bingo has got to be one of the most versatile games to play. Not only is it a simple game to learn and play, but it is also fun for adults and kids of all ages (including toddlers). With my oldest daughter’s birthday coming up, I decided to make another fun bingo game for her and her friends to play. To match her party theme, I created these Harry Potter bingo cards.

This Harry Potter bingo game is a great option for a Harry Potter party, Harry Potter movie night, or even if you just have a Harry Potter fan and want a fun game to play at home.

Directions
Near the end of this post, you will find the Harry Potter bingo printable. This printable has 25 unique bingo cards. Download this game and print it off.
If you plan to play with a smaller group, you do not need all 25 cards. Although I will say it may be helpful to have them all printed in case you plan to use them in the future as well.
If you decide to only print a number of the bingo cards don’t forget to print off the calling cards on the last page of the printable. You will want two copies of the calling cards.
The next step is optional, however it is very important if you’d like this bingo game to last. After the bingo and calling cards are all printed out, place them in laminating sheets like this.
Next, run the laminating sheets with the printable through a laminator.

If you decide not to laminate the bingo cards, I would at the very least use cardstock to print them on so that they hold up better than printer paper.

Once the Harry Potter bingo game is printed and laminated, then cut out the calling cards on one of the calling card sheets.
This is so that when you are playing, you will pull a cutout card from a bowl and then cover it up on the uncut page. This allows you to easily see which cards have been called.
These calling cards included on the Harry Potter bingo printable are fairly small, so they don’t work well with holding up and showing large groups.
If you’d prefer to use larger calling cards, I have a separate free printable at the bottom of this post that you can download and print.
These larger calling cards work well for birthday parties or the classroom, when you would need to hold them up for a lot of people to see.
Once you have printed and laminated your bingo cards and cut out your calling cards then you are ready to play.
How To Play Harry Potter Bingo
When you are ready to play, have each player choose a bingo card. Then, give each player a handful of bingo chips.
You can use regular bingo chips like these red ones, or add to the Harry Potter theme by using Bertie Botts Every Flavored Beans as bingo chips.
To start the game, have every player place a bingo chip on the middle free space. Then, put all of the calling cards into a bowl.
Next, draw a calling card out of the bowl and show it to the group. Each player will check their Harry Potter bingo card for that image. If their card has the image on it, then they will cover it up with a bingo chip.
Afterwards, put the calling card on top of the image on the uncut page so you can refer back to which cards have been drawn.
Make sure to give the players enough time to check their cards before moving onto the next card, especially when playing with kids.
If you are playing with adults, you could set a timer each time you call a card and then when the timer goes off move on.
When a player gets five in a row, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally then they shout out BINGO!
Using the calling card check sheet, ensure that the spaces they have covered were indeed called out. If each of their covered spaces were all called, and they have five in a row then this player wins.
Have everyone clear their boards and play again.
If one of their spaces covered was not called out, then continue playing until you have a winner.
