Having three kids myself ranging in age from 3 to 7 I have put together a HUGE list of some of the best Easter board books, picture books, and chapter books for kids. I even included some fun Easter activity books.
Whether you are looking for a family Easter read-aloud or a book for your child’s Easter basket, you are sure to find something on this Easter book list that you and your kiddo will enjoy.

I’ve broken these Easter books up into three categories: Toddler Board Books, Children’s Easter Picture Books, and Easter Chapter Books. I’ve also included some fun Easter Activity Books.

4. Happy Easter, Little Pookie
Happy Easter, Little Pookie is a short board book great for toddlers who aren’t able to sit for longer stories yet. We have an abundance of Sandra Boynton’s books and all three of my daughters have loved them as toddlers.

22. A Little Chick
A Little Chick is a cute yet informative book for toddlers. It introduces kids to the life cycle of a chicken and has beautiful illustrations. If you love this one there are more in the series including A Little Bunny which would also be perfect for Easter!

24. Happy Easter, Pout-Pout Fish
Happy Easter, Pout-Pout Fish is an Easter story from the Pout-Pout Fish series. This Easter board book is geared toward toddlers as it is a short, simple story. If you have other Pout-Pout Fish books you’ll want to add this one to your collection as well.
25. Pete the Cat Five Little Bunnies
Pete the Cat Five Little Bunnies by James Dean is an Easter spinoff of the classic “Five Little Monkeys” song. It is a fun sing-along book you and your toddler will enjoy!

I am SO excited about this new Easter book. We have almost all the other The Bear Books so I can’t wait to get my hands on this one once it’s released!
27. How to Catch the Easter Bunny
How to Catch the Easter Bunny is an adorable and funny children’s Easter book. It is a part of the How to Catch series by Adam Wallace. What I love about these books is how they encourage kids to creatively think about how they would build their own trap!
28. Turkey’s Eggcellent Easter
In Turkey’s Eggcellent Easter by Wendi Silvano the barnyard animals wanted in on the children’s Easter egg hunt. The only problem is animals aren’t allowed. In this cute story, the animals come up with a plan to get in on the fun!
29. The Easter Egg Hunt in Georgia
The Easter Egg Hunt in Georgia by Laura Baker is the coolest Easter book for kids. You can get this book for any state and each one has landmarks specific to that state. In the book, Little Bunny is searching for Easter eggs and they go all around the state looking for them. Your child will love seeing familiar places as they read this story. This is definitely a perfect Easter basket gift!
30. Bluey: Easter
Bluey: Easter is another Bluey book for all the Bluey and Bingo fans! My kids just LOVE them!
31. It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny
If your child is just starting to read then It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny by Marilyn Sadler is a great Easter book for them to practice their reading skills. It also makes for a great Easter read-aloud because it has a great message about being yourself and that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

It’s Better Being a Bunny by Marilyn Sadler is a follow-up to It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny. It also is another great beginner reader book.
33. Home for a Bunny
Home for a Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown isn’t specifically an Easter story but it is a cute year-round story that follows a bunny on it’s journey to find the perfect home.
34. Pete the Cat Big Easter Adventure
Do you and your kids love Pete the Cat? If so, you’ll want to check out Pete the Cat Big Easter Adventure by James Dean. In this story, Pete gets a big job helping out the Easter Bunny.
35. Fiona and the Easter Egg Hunt
Fiona and the Easter Egg Hunt features Fiona the Hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo. If you have a kid who loves animals and going to the zoo then this is the book for them!

We love the Crayon books! If you’re familiar with the Crayon books, I will point out that this Happy Easter from the Crayons is a much smaller-sized book. This does however make it great for Easter baskets.

Here Comes the Easter Cat by Deborah Underwood is SO funny and a must-read Easter book for kids.

I am a HUGE fan of The Good Egg books by Jory John and The Great Eggscape! is no different. These books have such great storylines and messages you’ll want to read this one all year long.

Pick a Perfect Egg by Patricia Toht is the perfect book to read to kids before dying Easter eggs. This book has a rhyming story and beautiful illustrations!
47. There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick is a funny Easter version of the “There Was an Old Lady” song. If your child likes any of the other books from this series they will definitely enjoy this one too.

As with any of Jan Brett’s books, The Easter Egg has beautiful illustrations! We love all of the details and pictures she adds to the borders of each page. This is a great Easter picture book for families.

My kids LOVE Bad Kitty books. These books are about a house cat named Kitty who tends to be mischievous. Kitty is determined to get a golden egg in this Easter book, but will she?
54. Build Easter Fun
Build Easter Fun is an awesome Easter Lego Book. As your child reads this interactive book, they get to build the Easter figures (egg, bunny, lamb) that go along with the story. If your kid loves LEGOs then this book is a MUST!
