Halloween is such a fun holiday for kids. If your kids are anything like mine they are counting down the days until Halloween starting October first.

One thing we love doing is walking the neighborhood and seeing all the spooky Halloween decorations. This is why I created and am sharing with you this Halloween scavenger hunt printable to do with your kids.

On this Halloween scavenger hunt printable you and your kids will walk your neighborhood searching for Halloween decorations ranging from a witch’s hat and cauldron to a spider web, jack-o-lantern and more!

This scavenger hunt is sure to get your kids even more excited for this fun holiday.

Directions

First, choose the Halloween scavenger hunt you want to use. I have created a scavenger hunt with 16 popular Halloween decorations, as well as, a blank Halloween scavenger hunt for you to fill in your own items.

To do the Halloween scavenger hunt, simply download and print off a copy for each person. Then, go for a family walk around your neighborhood sometime in the days leading up to Halloween. Look at all the spooky Halloween decorations people have and see if you can find all 16 items on the scavenger hunt.

You could also split up into teams and see which team can find all the decorations first. The first team to get a picture of each of the items and make it back home wins!

The blank Halloween scavenger hunt is another fun option. This is great for parents with older kids who are more competitive or if you are throwing a Halloween party and plan to hide items for kids to find.

To do this one, print off a copy for each person. Then, have everyone write in Halloween decorations they think they will find in the neighborhood. Next, go for a walk around the neighborhood as a family. Whoever can find all the items on their scavenger hunt first wins!

You can also use this one for a fun Halloween party game. Hide Halloween items of your choosing around the house and write them down on the scavenger hunt. Once you’ve written out 16 items, then make copies for each kiddo to participate.

Next, hand them out to all the kids and see who can find all the items first. You can even have a special prize for the winner such as Halloween stamps or tattoos like these.
