Halloween is quickly approaching. Whether you plan to attend a Halloween party, hand out candy, or take your kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, a scavenger hunt is sure to add extra excitement to your night.

As a mom to three kids who love scavenger hunts, I created and am giving you this Halloween costume scavenger hunt to do with your kids.

With this costume scavenger hunt you’ll be on the lookout for costumes ranging from a princess and superhero to a dog dressed up in costume and more!

After doing this Halloween costume scavenger hunt don’t be surprised if your kids ask to do this year after year.

Directions

The first thing you’ll need to do is decide which Halloween scavenger hunt you want to do. There is a scavenger hunt with popular costumes already included on it, as well as, a blank costume scavenger hunt. Once you’ve decided, then scroll to the bottom of the page, download and print off the free printable Halloween scavenger hunt of your choosing.

Make sure to print off enough copies for everyone. If your kids are like mine, they’ll each want their own copy to hold and check off.

If you choose the scavenger hunt with costumes already listed, give each of your kiddos a copy right before you leave to go trick-or-treating or before trick-or-treaters start coming to your door.

Make sure to have a writing utensil for everyone to use. It can also be handy to have a clipboard like this to write against and hold the writing utensil. If you don’t have a clipboard your kids can always keep the paper and pencil in their trick-or-treating buckets.

Then, be on the lookout for the costumes on the list. These costumes include:

Another way to do this scavenger hunt is by downloading and printing the blank scavenger hunt. Give each of your kids a copy and let them fill it out. Have them come up with costumes they think they will see while they trick-or-treat or hand out candy.

Then, once trick-or-treating starts let everyone start their scavenger hunt. The first person to find all of the costumes on their scavenger hunt wins bragging rights until next year!
